Tool for Splitting Protein or Peptide Sequences

Use this tool to split a protein or a peptide sequence to overlapping fragments. You can set overlap to zero if no overlap is required.

Place the protein or peptide amino-acid sequence into the Sequence box, using one-letter amino acid code without separators; set the desired Fragment Length and Overlap values; and press the Split button to see the results below.

JavaScript is required for the Protein and Peptide Sequence Splitter tool to function.

To see a quick demonstration with a randomly loaded protein sequence, press the Load Random button.

Results will be displayed here.

Highlighted in-color areas indicate parts of the sequences that overlap any previous fragment. If the protein or peptide cannot be evenly split to the fragments of the desired length, the remainder of the sequence will be appended to the last fragment.
